The Monstera Laniata is a stunning climbing plant, and while similar to the Monstera Adansonii, the Laniata isdistinguished by its large fenestrated leaves that develop as the plant matures. These plants are natural climbers and benefit from added vertical support as they grow. Support is essential to encouraging larger leaf growth. Like other Monstera, the Laniatagrows in nature under tree canopies, meaningthey preferBRIGHT INDIRECT LIGHT.

LOCATION & LIGHT:

Monstera like bright, indirect light. While tolerant of medium – low light conditions, the plant prefers living near aneastorwest-facingwindow. The natural environment for this philodendron is underneath a tree canopy with no exposure to direct sun, so these plants like diffused bright light.

WATER:

Monstera prefer soil that is moderately moist with a dry out period between waterings. Typically, you shouldn’t have to water your Monstera more than once every 7-10 days.
