Bugbane 8211 Hillside Black Beauty 1 Pack

Actaea simplex – Hillside Black Beauty Graceful clumps of lacy purple-black foliage create bold contrast in shaded garden areas, topped in late summer to early fall by arching wands of fragrant, pale pink-to-creamy-white bottlebrush flowers. Hillside Black Beauty reaches up to 150cm (5ft) tall with a spread of about 180cm (6ft), making it an impressive focal or background plant in woodland and shade borders. It thrives in moist, humus-rich, welldrained soil, tolerates part sun to full shade, and benefits from protection in windy sites. Exceptionally deer- and rabbit-resistant, it also draws bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and birdswhile remaining low-maintenance. 1Bare Root Dramatic purple-black foliage Deer & rabbit resistant Fragrant bottlebrush blooms Specifications Details Colour Purple-black foliage; pale pink to creamy-white flowers Hardiness Zone 3 9 Plant Height 120180cm (46ft) Plant Width 60180cm (26ft) Sun Requirements Part sun to full shade; tolerates sun if soil remains moist Fragrant Yes rich, sweet scent often likened to phlox or grapes Deer Resistant Yes Plant Timing Herbaceous perennial Bloom Timing September – October Plant Depth Not specified Plant Spacing 90180cm (3672in)
