• Our soil mix is tailored to provide the perfect balance of drainage, aeration, and moisture retention that cacti and succulents require. These plants are adapted to arid environments and need well-drained soil to prevent root rot and other moisture-related issues. Our blend includes Coarse Perlite, which ensures superior drainage and aeration, allowing roots to breathe and grow without being waterlogged.
• Unique Physical Appearance: With its flat, segmented stems that resemble an accordion, the Christmas Cactus offers a visually distinct texture. The plant produces large, star-shaped flowers in vibrant shades, making it a conversation starter and a standout piece in any room.
• Watering Frequency: Water the Christmas Cactus thoroughly when the top 2 inches of soil feel dry. It prefers to dry out between waterings rather than stay consistently moist. Overwatering may lead to root rot, so ensure the plant’s pot has good drainage to allow excess water to escape.
• Temperature Tolerance: This plant prefers warm temperatures ranging from 65 to 75F (18 to 24C). It can tolerate slightly cooler temperatures but should be kept away from drafts, as sudden temperature fluctuations can stress the plant. Keep it indoors during colder months for best results.
• Light Requirements: The Christmas Cactus thrives in bright, indirect light. It can also tolerate moderate light but should be protected from direct sunlight, which can cause the leaves to scorch. Placing it near a window with filtered light is ideal for its optimal growth.
