Copiapoa cinerea is a captivating, slow-growing cactus native to Chiles Atacama Desert. The grafted variety features a striking, silvery-grey stem that may develop beautiful, ashy blue hues over time, especially when exposed to intense sunlight. The globular, solitary body can grow into clumps, adorned with clusters of stiff, black spines. In summer, it produces delicate yellow, funnel-shaped flowers that contrast with its smooth, powdery epidermis. This cactus is highly prized for its sculptural form and unique greyish tones, which make it a standout in any succulent collection.
