Umbrella Grass, scientifically known as Cyperus alternifolius, is a pond or aquatic plant with a striking resemblance to water reeds. Its roots thrive when fully submerged in water, making it an ideal choice for a visually appealing Cyperus plant. This versatile plant can thrive both indoors and in a pond, as long as its roots are consistently kept damp, it’s almost impossible to over water!

Umbrella Grass thrives in a variety of lighting conditions, from full sun to light and medium shade. Its adaptability makes it a versatile plant, though it may indicate insufficient light through low shoot and stem production.
